Why worry?
This morning, I was looking at the weather forecast.
“The beginning of June looks awful”, I said to my wife. “Rain, rain, rain.”
She answered: “Why are you doing this to yourself? Weather forecasts change and you can’t change the weather.”
A life lesson over a weather forecast.
This reminds me of a short video I used when coaching people:
Something’s wrong?
Can you do something about it?
No? Then why worry?
Yes? Then why worry?
I know this. But it’s still overridden by the conditioning.
Looking at the future.
Making predictions about the future.
Thinking I control how things will unfold.
Truth is, I control nothing external.
Control is an illusion.
But I still can ask myself that simple question:
Can you do something about it?
