Don't get wet
Earlier today, I caught myself commenting on a random post on LinkedIn explaining how WRONG the author was…
… only to delete my comment a few moments later.
Not because I didn’t agree with myself anymore.
(I still do)
Just because I didn’t want to get wet.
A coach I worked with a few years ago kept saying:
“Don’t want to get wet? Don’t jump.”
Getting wet is a waste of time and energy. It lowers my vibration. Definitely not something I intend to do.
In my example, trying to prove someone wrong is useless. It opens the door to endless arguments, people agreeing and disagreeing. Misunderstandings. Endless clarifications. And the author won’t change his mind. At least not publicly.
Wet, wet, wet. Soaking wet.
So, when I catch myself wanting to jump or jumping, I ask myself:
Do I want to get wet?
The answer is rarely “yes”.
If ever.
